How to Crochet the Cluster V-Stitch - a quick growing and easy pattern for blankets, scarves or afghans! Excellent stash buster and my go-to stitch for scrap blankets. With a one row repeat it is the perfect mindless "sit in front of the tv" relaxing crochet stitch ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Minimal concentration required!

Crochet Cluster V Stitch WRITTEN PATTERN

USA Stitch Terms

Abbreviations:

โ€ข Ch = Chain

โ€ข Cl v-st = Cluster V-Stitch

โ€ข DC = Double crochet

โ€ข Rep = Repeat

โ€ข Ch sp = Chain space

โ€ข St = Stitch

Cluster V-Stitch = DC2tog, ch 2, DC2tog into the same place

DC2TOG = Double Crochet 2 Together (yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch [3 loops on your hook] yarn over and pull through 2 loops [2 loops left on your hook] yarn over, insert hook back into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch [4 loops on your hook] yarn over and pull through 2 loops [ 3 loops on your hook]. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.


Foundation Row: Ch multiples of 3 to make the blanket as large as youโ€™d like.

Row 1: Starting in the sixth ch from the hook, rep *1 cl v-st, skip 2 ch* across until there are 3 st remaining. Skip 2 st and make 1 DC in the last ch. If youโ€™re changing colours, finish the DC by introducing the new colour.

Rows 2-onward: Ch 3 and turn. In each ch sp across, make 1 cl v-st. To finish the row, make 1 DC in the last st. You can make the blanket as big as youโ€™d like by rep this row.
