Crochet Camel Stitch Border WRITTEN PATTERN

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn
Abbreviations:
Β· Ch = Chain
Β· SC = Single crochet
Β· HDC = Half double crochet
Β· 3L HDC = Third loop half double crochet
Β· Rep = Repeat
Β· St = Stitch
Β· Ch sp = Chain space
Standing Single Crochet: Insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop so that there are two loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through to complete a single crochet stitch.
Standing Half Double Crochet: Yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop so that there are three loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through to complete a half double crochet stitch.
Pattern for Border:
Attach the yarn to any corner of the blanket with 1 Standing SC.
Round 1: Ch 2 and make 1 SC in the same corner ch sp. Make 1 SC in each st across and (1 SC, ch 2, 1 SC) in every corner ch sp. If youβre working around a granny square blanket, make SC2tog wherever there is a join between two squares. At the end of the round, sl st to join.
Round 2: Ch 1 and make 1 HDC in the same st and each st across. For every corner ch sp, make 3 HDC. At the end of the round, sl st to join.
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Attach the second colour with 1 Standing HDC in the third loop of any corner st.
Round 3: Make 1 3L HDC in each st across. For each corner, work 3 3L HDC into the second HDC. At the end of the round, sl st to join.
Rep Round 3 for as thick as you want your border to be, changing colours as you prefer.
When youβre ready to end your border, attach the final colour to the third loop of any st.
Final Round 4: Ch 1 and make 1 sl st in each third loop across. For the corners, make 2 sl st in the third loop of the center st. At the end of the round, sl st to join.
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Weave in the ends.
