Crochet SEAMLESS Granny Square WITHOUT Turning! [Free Video Tutorial & Written Pattern!]

Crochet Seamless Granny Square WRITTEN PATTERN

Hook Size(s): according to your yarn



Abbreviations:

·       Ch = Chain

·       DC = Double crochet

·       HDC = Half double crochet

·       Rep = Repeat

·       St = Stitch

·       YO = Yarn over

·       Ch sp = Chain space

Standing Double Crochet: Make a slip knot, YO, insert hook in st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops, YO, and pull through the remaining 2 loops.

Standing Half Double Crochet: Make a slip knot, YO, insert hook in st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all loops on the hook.



Pattern for Square:

Round 1: Make a magic circle and ch 5 (counts as 1 DC and ch 2).

In the ring, rep *3 DC, ch 2* three times. Make 2 DC and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Tighten the magic ring. Join the next colour to any ch 2 sp with a Standing DC.

Round 2: Make 2 DC in the same space and rep *3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC* three times, working in the ch 2 sp only. In the first ch 2 sp of the round, make 3 DC, ch 2, and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Join the next colour to any ch 2 sp with a Standing DC.

Round 3: Make 2 DC in the same space. In between every 3-DC cluster of the previous round, make 3 DC (forming the sides of the square).

For every corner ch 2 sp, make (3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC).

At the end of the round, in the first corner ch 2 sp, make 3 DC, ch 2, and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Join the next colour to any ch 2 sp with a Standing DC.

Round 4: Make 2 DC in the same space.

In between every 3-DC cluster of the previous round, make 3 DC.

For every corner ch 2 sp, make (3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC).

At the end of the round, in the first corner ch 2 sp, make 3 DC, ch 2, and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Join the next colour to any ch 2 sp with a Standing DC.

Round 5: Make 2 DC in the same space.

In between every 3-DC cluster of the previous round, make 3 DC.

For every corner ch 2 sp, make (3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC).

At the end of the round, in the first corner ch 2 sp, make 3 DC, ch 2, and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Join the next colour to any ch 2 sp with a Standing HDC.

Final Round: Make 1 HDC in the same space.

In each st across, make 1 HDC.

For every corner ch 2 sp, make (2 HDC, ch 2, 2 HDC).

At the end of the round, in the first corner ch 2 sp, make 2 HDC, ch 2, and sl st to join.

Fasten off and cut the yarn.
