Cluster Stitch Circle in a Square Crochet Motif
This Cluster Circle in a Square crochet motif is very closely related to my
– only circular!
Straight onto the pattern!
Yarn required:
· Sirdar Hayfield Spirit Double Knit in Grace:
· Scheepjes Colour Crafter in Verviers:
· 4mm Crochet Hook
· Repeat pattern between the asterisks

AMERICAN STITCH TERMS
Stitches / abbreviations used:
MR = Magic Ring
Ch = Chain
Sc = Single Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Dc = Double Crochet
Tr = Treble Crochet
DC2Tog = Double Crochet 2 Together
DC3Tog = Double Crochet 3 Together
Ss = slip stitch
Sp= space
Sk = skip
TO START: Using Hayfield Spirit
Round 1: Working into a Magic Ring
Ch2, 1dc
(counts as dc2tog)
ch2
* dc2tog, ch2* x 5
Ss to join to 1st ch sp of the round
Round 2:
Ch2, dc2tog,
(counts as dc3tog)
ch2, dc3tog, ch2 all into same sp
*dc3tog, ch2, dc3tog, ch2* in each ch1 sp around
Ss to join into 1st ch2 sp of the round
Round 3:
Ch2, dc2tog (counts as dc3tog) ch1, dc3tog, ch1 all into same sp
*dc3tog, ch1, dc3tog, ch1* in each ch2 sp around
Ss to join into 1st ch1 sp of the round.
SQUARING OFF: Using Scheepjes ColourCrafter
Join new colour.
Ch4 (counts as tr) 1tr, ch3, 2 tr, ch1 all into same sp. (corner formed)
*2dc in next ch sp, ch1
2hdc in next ch sp, ch1
2sc in next ch sp, ch1
2hdc in next ch sp, ch1
2dc in next ch sp, ch1
2tr, ch3, 2tr, ch1 in next ch sp. (corner formed)*
Repeat around all sides
Join with ss to top of intial ch4 of the round.
Square complete!
